About Robert Bodor Photography
This is me.
That's about the best look at me you're gonna get, since I'm behind a camera more often than I am in front. I am a landscape and nature photographer living in Colorado and going to college in California, with the intention of going to Med School afterward.
I guess the purpose behind my artwork is that I have always loved nature. Some of the happiest times in my life have been spent wandering aimlessly through fog and rain in Medicine Bow National Forest or sleeping under the stars outside of Moab, Utah, always with a camera close at hand. The contrast in nature between calm and grandeur- between serenity and majesty- has always created a sense of wonder within me. My goal, since the time I began photography in High School, has been to remind people of the beauty they can so easily find if they just stop and look around them. To this end, over the past 6 years I have been trying to capture whatever beauty I encountered, and to convey the same sense of wonder in my artwork which I felt in my travels.
On a more technical note, I specialize in High Dynamic Range, or HDR, imaging, which is a digital photography process that helps reveal more detail in the pictures than a camera would normally capture, allowing the photograph to more correctly replicate the scene as a human eye would have seen it. The process helps put detail in both shadows and highlights that would be lost with just a straight image, whether on film or digital, if the difference in luminosities between the shadow and highlights were too extreme.
I have taken digital pictures with a Nikon D1x and D2x in a number of states and countries, including Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, California, Mexico, and Spain.
